WRITING TEACHER
Trained a the Intensive Journalistic Writing Institute at The Washington Post and the Boston Globe. As an English, journalism and writing coach, I teach the basic elements of fiction writing, including narrative, scene, character, and dialogue, as well as the habits necessary to grow as a writer. I teach creative nonfiction, focusing on the many and fluid forms of the essay and focusing on the elements of the craft – voice, scene, description, and structure. I teach students how to adapt stories into short screenplays and how to create sequences for visual storytelling. I teach persuasive, expository, narrative and descriptive writing.
